- This offer applies for direct bookings on the Colourful Trips website and bookings made with a travel agent
- The two day trips can be selected from the following:
- Blue Mountains
- Hunter Valley
- Port Stephens Dolphin Watching
- Jervis Bay
- Jenolan Caves
- The Two Trip Deal cannot be used in conjunction with the Book 3 / 1 Free deal
- The Two Trip Deal cannot be used with any promocodes or discount offers
- When you book you must provide your email address and name.
- Booking day trips for other people does not qualify as one of your 'booked trips'
- Using your email address on other people's bookings is not considered your booking
- No full or partial refunds can be given if you're unable to travel on any of the trips that you've have booked
- Colourful Trips reserves the right to change your dates of departure if a trip is cancelled
- You cannot transfer your day trips to another person.
- You must show ID to our driver/guide when you join any of the day trips
- Any changes to the date of travel must be made more than 48 hours from the date of departure
- Any date changes incur a $25 transfer fee payable in cash on the day of the trip to the driver
- There is no recompense if you're unable to travel on any of the two day trips you've booked
1.1 On receipt of your payment, subject to availability and at our discretion Colourful Trips will reserve your place on your selected tour. A contract is only made between you and us upon your booking being confirmed and accepted by us and our confirmation hereof to either you or your travel agent.
2. Price Guarantee
2.1 All tour prices are in Australian Dollars
2.2 Once the total payment for a tour has been made and confirmation received, you cannot be charged more for the tour.
2.3 For optional activities on tour, prices may change at any time and cannot be guaranteed.
2.4 Any additional costs such as optional activities or items such as entry fees, fuel levies, environmental taxes, etc. may change in price as these are third party arrangements.
3. If We Cancel or Change Your Booking
3.1 Colourful Trips reserves the right to change or cancel your booking in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control.
3.2 Should change or cancellation prove necessary we will give you reasonable notice thereof, in the circumstances, and where available, offer you a comparable alternative.
3.3 If the change or cancellation is due to a majeure (i.e. circumstances like political unrest, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, closure of airports or ports, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemic or health risk, Acts of God, adverse weather conditions or other similar events beyond Colourful Trips control) we will endeavour to find an alternative equal in value reasonable expenses incurred by us in respect of your booking.
3.4 Colourful Trips is not responsible for the costs of any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations or rescheduling of any tour departure.
4. Tour Details and Conditions
4.1 The information in our brochure is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of going to print but we cannot guarantee that any item or amenity mentioned will be available as circumstances may change since any marketing or sales material is released.
4.2 Colourful Trips will do their best, at their discretion, to select accommodation, sightseeing tours and transportation to give you good value for money.
4.3 Colourful Trips constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary, we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute suppliers. Colourful Trips is not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
5.1 Your travel agent shall, on the receipt of any monies, hold such monies for you until the booking is confirmed at which time those monies shall be remitted promptly by your travel agent to us.
5.2 We will be entitled to keep for our account any interest earned on such monies.
5.3 All monies paid by you to us through your travel agent or otherwise, whether in respect of the deposit or full payment, may be disbursed by us and when we see fit, in respect of the services to be provided and/or fees payable under the tour program. The payment of a deposit or any other monies in respect of your tour shall be deemed to be an authorisation for disbursement thereof as aforesaid.
1. Booking Your Tour
1.1 In order to book your tour, the total price of the tour must be paid. No deposits and partial payments are possible.
1.2 Your booking will be confirmed on receival of a booking by an agent or direct payment online by credit card.
1.3 Any special meal requirements will be made on a request basis only. Colourful Trips cannot guarantee special meal requests nor will it assume any responsibility or liability if clients’ special meal requirements are not fulfilled.
2. Paying the Balance
2.1 Tickets and other documents won’t be forwarded until full payment has been received by us.
3. If You Cancel
3.1 Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to Colourful Trips.
3.2 Refunds incur a 20% administration fee. Refunds are only possible for the following:
Day Trips – Notice is given 48 hours before departure
Weekend Adventures and Short Breaks up to 5 days – Notice is given 7 days before departure
Extended Holidays of more than 5 days – Notice is given 30 days before departure and a 20% administration fee is applied
Harbour Cruise tickets are non-refundable however you can transfer them to another person
3.3 If the reason for cancellation falls within the terms of any holiday insurance policy which you hold, then any such charges may, subject to the terms of your insurance policy, be refunded to you by the insurance company.
3.4 These cancellation fees are in addition to any cancellation fees that may be levied by your Travel Agent.
4. If You Change Your Booking
4.1 Notice of changes to your booking must be made in writing to Colourful Trips.
4.2 If after your booking has been confirmed and more than the required number of days before departure, you wish to change to an alternate departure date or you wish to change to a different Colourful Trips tour, you may do so providing the new tour date is available.
4.3 If the new tour you wish to change to has a lower price than the originally booked, then no refund of the difference will be made.
4.4 If the new tour you wish to change to has a higher price than the originally booked, then the difference in price must be paid in advance of the tour departure for your place to be confirmed.
4.5 If you change the date of your booking you must pay a $25 transfer fee. This must be paid at the time of making the date change and is only payable by credit card over the phone to our office during office hours of 9.00am - 4.00pm.
5. Tour Details and Conditions
5.1 Please read all material carefully for those items included in the price. No allowance or refund can be made for meals, accommodation, excursions, etc. that you elect not to take.
5.2 Recent legislation in various states in Australia has highlighted the issue of Age Discrimination. In terms of style and content, all of Colourful Trips are specifically designed for a particular age group. This fact should be recognised when you book one of our tours. Accommodation facilities may vary from place to place. Meals may vary in style.
5.3 Colourful Trips must be advised of any medical conditions or physical disability requiring special attention before your tour. If you do not advise us at this stage, we may refuse to accept your booking. We may also refuse you if we feel that the tour chosen is not suitable without a suitably qualified companion. Colourful Trips will try to help you with your requirements but cannot guarantee to do so, either on our own or our suppliers’ (such as hotels, restaurants and excursions) behalf. Many of our tours involve getting on and off coaches, walking tours and other physical activities. Some tours may not be suitable for you if you rely on a wheelchair or have certain other disabilities. Should your disability require you to have special assistance, it is a condition of Colourful Trips accepting your booking that you provide evidence satisfactory to us that an able-bodied person will accompany you and is able to provide any special needs or services that you may require. Colourful Trips will not be responsible for the failure of this person to provide these services.
5.4 You are responsible for all travel arrangements and costs to/from point of commencement/conclusion of the tour.
5.5 There may be times when the Colourful Trips Representative has to make a decision in your best interests or the interests of their group. You agree to comply with the authority and decisions of the appointed Colourful Trips Representative and the laws of the country in which you are travelling. If you do not comply or if, in the Colourful Trips representative’s opinion, you are not compatible with the general enjoyment and wellbeing of other members on the tour or smooth operation of the tour itself, we reserve the right to refuse to let you continue with the holiday. Furthermore, you agree that your fellow travellers and any Colourful Trips Representative has the right to travel/work in a safe environment. Any threats to their safety, wellbeing or inappropriate behaviour by you, whether verbal or physical, will be taken extremely seriously and may result in the immediate termination of your tour. In either event, you will be responsible for your own repatriation and related costs and have no claims against us.
5.5.1 You are responsible for any costs incurred as a result of damage or excess cleaning fees related to your accommodation. You are advised to immediately report any pre-existing damage in your room to hotel/Colourful Trips staff and/or a Colourful Trips Tour Manager as soon as it is discovered.
5.6 Where the passenger occupies a motorcoach seat fitted with a safety belt, neither the operator or service providers, agents or co-operating organisations shall be liable for any illness, injury or death or any loss or damages or claims whatsoever arising from any accident or incident, if the safety belt is not being worn at the time of the accident or incident.
5.7 It is your responsibility to have a valid passport and all visas, permits and certificates required for your selected tour as well as any necessary vaccinations and to comply with all applicable laws.
5.8 You agree that Colourful Trips Tour Managers or Representatives may take photographs and films of you while you are on tour and that these may be used in our group brochures and/or advertising or publicity material without obtaining any further consent or payment in respect of such photographs and/or films.
5.9 Should you have a complaint in respect of the tour, you should inform the Colourful Trips Tour Manager or Representative during the course of the tour and if the matter cannot be resolved after the representative’s best endeavours to do so during the tour, your complaint should be made in writing to Colourful Trips as soon as is reasonable possible after the tour but within 14 days thereof so that your complaint can be investigated. Any claims made after the 14 day period will not be considered by Colourful Trips. If you choose to write to Colourful Trips via the internet, please provide your home address so that we are able to rely to you in writing.
5.10.1 The contract and all matters arising in respect hereof shall be subject to Australian Law, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5.10.2 If any provision of this contract is held invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed to be re-written to give effect to the same purpose within the permitted limits of the law. The validity and enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected.
5.10.3 If you are unsuccessful in any legal action instituted against us, you agree to pay all our costs, including but not limited to, attorney/client costs.
6.1 Colourful Trips very strongly recommends that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before embarking on a Colourful Trips tour. Please check that the insurance covers all of the activities that you are going to be participating in. Some policies exclude certain adventure activities. This should be arranged at the time of payment of the tour and will, in certain circumstances, cover you against loss of payment or cancellation fees from the date of confirmation of your booking, as shown in the insurance policy. You also agree to indemnify us against all third-party claims, actions, damages and remedies which may be brought against us in respect of your participation in the tour.
7. Illness or Absenteeism
7.1 In the event of your withdrawal from a tour after the commencement as result of illness, you must obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. No refunds will be made for any absence from the tour.
8. What’s Not Included in the Tour Price
8.1 Airfares to and from your tour destination, airport taxes, passport and visa fees, insurance, laundry, phone calls, beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, tips to tour managers, representatives, drivers and local guides, items of personal nature, excess baggage, optional excursions.
9.1 Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for not seeing any animals on our tours eg. whale and dolphin watching or kangaroos. As they are wild animals we cannot guarantee them being there at the time of the tour, nor can any tour be cancelled refunded on the basis of not seeing wild animals.
10. Weather Conditions
10.1 Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for snow or weather conditions, nor can any tour be cancelled or amended by you at any time on the basis of snow or weather conditions.
11. Booking Thai-break
11.1 We will not be held responsible for any loss or theft of baggage or belongings. Travel Insurance is compulsory for Thai-break
11.2 We cannot be held responsible for any loss as a result of failure of any third-parties (including Airlines, Tour Operators & Hoteliers), however we will give every reasonable assistance in helping you to resolve any dispute.
11.3 We are not liable for any personal injury, death, damage, loss, accident or delay which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through the acts of default of any company or person engaged in conveying you or carrying out the arrangements of the tour or otherwise in connection therewith.
11.4 We understand that sometimes plans change. So if, after you have made a booking, you wish to change your date of departure you can! An administrative fee of $50 is applicable. If you wish to change your flight departure or return date you will be subject to the Terms & Conditions of the airline.
11.5 If for any reason you need to cancel your trip but you have a friend who would like to take your place then the normal cancellation & booking policy is applicable. We can not replace your original booking with another person.
11.6 If you need to cancel your booking you must do so in writing (by mail or e-mail). If you cancel your booking the following charges will apply:
- For cancellations received more than 28 days prior to departure the deposit will be lost.
- For cancellations received less than 28 days prior to departure full payment will be lost.
No cancellation fees will be waived as a result of the following:
- Injury or sickness.
- Delayed, rescheduled or missed flights.
- Climatic, social or political problems.
- Pandemics, Epidemics, Bird flu, Swine flu, SARS, Leprosy, Shingles, Pink eye, Rickets or Chaffed lips.
However, you may be able to have any cancellation fees refunded by your Travel Insurance company - subject to their terms
11.7 Sometimes it rains in Thailand. So we might have to change the itinerary. If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to offer a particular activity, we will replace it with a different activity of equal or greater value.
11.8 You have to comply with the authority and decisions of the ThaIntro Crew. We reserve the right to ask anyone who is deliberately not complying, or causing trouble, to leave the group. In the event you are asked to leave the group no refund will be given and you will have no claim against ThaIntro.
13. Booking Chase the Sun?
13.1 You agree to accept the authority of a staff member and comply with their decisions.
13.2 All prices quoted are subject to change without notice.
13.3 Travel insurance is compulsory and we recommend you purchase your insurance at the time you book your trip to cover possible cancellation penalties. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. We also recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
13.4 In the event of your withdrawal from a holiday after the commencement as a result of illness, you must obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. Unfortunately, no refunds can be made for absences from a tour including but not limited to missed flights, adventure activities, meals or sightseeing.
13.5 The adventurous nature of these tours may result, should the need arise, in an altering of the itinerary due to weather conditions, natural disasters such as fire, flood or earthquake, embassy advise or adventure operators' demands.
13.6 Under no circumstances can Colourful Trips be held responsible for extreme weather conditions nor can any holiday be cancelled or amended by you at any time on the basis of extreme weather conditions.
13.7 Occasion may arise when the need to substitute an operator will arise, the operators substituted will be of a comparable quality product.
13.8 All accommodation provided varies on each tour. Accommodation varies, ranging from hostel accommodation in shared room and shared facilities basis or accommodation as provided on activities such as on board a sailing vessel, depending on the tour chosen.
13.9 Each tour itinerary states where and when the tour departs and returns to. It is the responsibility of each passenger to arrange suitable pre and post tour transport and accommodation to connect with and complete each tour. Any delays in connections are not the responsibility of Colourful Trips and it will be the responsibility of the passenger to catch up to the tour, if required, at their expense.
13.10 If you need to cancel any tour you must notify us of that cancellation in writing or by email. The following cancellation charges apply.
- No refund applies to non-attendance, cancellations or transfers 30 days prior to a trip departing.
- A 20% administration fee will apply to non-attendance, cancellations or transfers greater than 30 days prior to departure.
You agree that any photographs and film of you taken on tour may be used in our group brochures, website and / or advertising or publicity material without obtaining any further consent or payment in respect of such photographs and/ or films.
13.12 We reserve the right to withdraw any tour up to 1 week before the departure; and in this event all monies received by Colourful Trips, less the cost of any services already provided, will be refunded. Other than the refund Colourful Trips shall have no liability to the client.
13.13 Under no circumstances are we responsible for:
- Delays, personal injury, property damage, or any loss resulting from any Act of God, terrorist activities, labour stoppages, mechanical breakdowns or participation in sport or activities.
- Any act of neglect of any person or company including, but not limited to accommodation and transportation companies.
- Any deviation, delay or curtailment of any kind however caused. (Additional expenses if incurred under any of these circumstances will be borne by the passenger).
13.14 We reserve the right to change international trip pricings and to call for extra money due to unexpected foreign currency fluctuations.
